Landcare Project Funding Now Open

The Shire of Narrogin is pleased to announce the Landcare Project Fund which provides funding assistance to rural property owners to purchase native plants for land rehabilitation on their property, is now open.

Eligible applicants whose properties are situated outside the Narrogin and Highbury townsites, and within the Shire of Narrogin, are invited to apply for up 50% of the total spend on native plants (up to a maximum of $5,000) funding support to address salt affected, eroded and other land rehabilitation issues on their property. Projects are required to be completed and acquitted by 30 September 2021. 

Shire of Narrogin Chief Executive Officer Dale Stewart said ‘’Land rehabilitation can be a necessary and costly exercise and we are pleased to be able to help in a small way with financial assistance’’.

A copy of the Guidelines and Application Form can be downloaded from the Shire’s website or by telephoning the Executive Manager Technical and Rural Services on 9890 0900. Applications close 4.30 pm Sunday 28 February 2021.
