The Shire of Narrogin wishes to advise residents, businesses and road users that an Event Traffic Management Plan will be in place around the Narrogin CBD on Tuesday 9 July 2019 between 9 am and 11.30 am as part of celebrations to commemorate NAIDOC Week. This will include a Temporary Road closure on Federal Street between 10 am and 11 am. Road users are requested to exercise caution and follow traffic detour signs when travelling in and around the CBD on during these times.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 6.19 of the Local Government Act 1995, that the Shire of Narrogin intends to impose new Fees and Charges for the 2019/2020 financial year effective from 15 July 2019. A schedule of these fees and charges is available at the Shire Offices and can also be downloaded from the website at www.narrogin.wa.gov.au.

Narrogin community comes together to celebrate NAIDOC Week

In the 2018/2019 Budget the Shire of Narrogin included $20,000 for the installation of play equipment and shade structures in Ashworth Park, located on Ashworth Crescent Narrogin. To further enhance the look of the park, the project included an Indigenous artwork element designed by a local artist using images based on, and fashioned around subject matter which acknowledges Narrogin’s Noongar history and culture.

The Shire of Narrogin proposes to adopt the Shire of Narrogin Waste Local Law 2019: Purpose – to regulate the collection, disposal and storage of waste and recyclable materials, and to remove certain provisions of the Shire of Narrogin Public Places and Local Government Property Local Law 2016. Effect – to control the collection, disposal and storage of waste and recyclable materials for the benefit and health of the community and protection of the environment.
