In accordance with section 6.36 of the Local Government Act 1995, the Shire of Narrogin hereby gives notice of its intention to impose the following differential rates and minimum payments.

Each year the Shire of Narrogin undertake the burning of the green waste at the Shire’s Refuse Site on White Road in order to reduce the fire hazard at the site in preparation for summer season. We wish to advise that this will be taking place on Tuesday, 16 June from 8.00 am.

LIFTED AT 2.30PM The Shire of Narrogin has declared a Harvest and Vehicle Movement Ban, which is effective immediately across the entire Shire of Narrogin due to current weather conditions. This ban is in place from 12:15pm Wednesday 25/02/2026.

The Shire wishes to advise that due to ongoing dry conditions and fire risk, the Prohibited Burning Period has been extended by 14 days. No burning permits will be issued until 16 March 2026.

Road resealing works - Clayton Road The Shire of Narrogin will be carrying out essential road reseal works on Clayton Road between Earl Street and Lefroy Street on Monday 23 February 2026 and Tuesday 24 February 2026. Please expect short access restrictions to properties for periods of up to 30 minutes while sealing is underway — our contractors will do their best to keep disruption to a minimum and full traffic management will be in place.

The Shire of Narrogin has today announced that Chief Executive Officer Mr Dale Stewart has tendered his resignation, following his acceptance of the Chief Executive Officer position with the Town of Port Hedland. Mr Stewart will conclude his employment with the Shire on Friday, 1 May 2026, providing a three-month transition period to ensure continuity and a comprehensive handover.

2026 LANDCARE PROJECT FUND The Shire of Narrogin is pleased to announce the 2026 Landcare Project Fund. The Fund provides financial assistance to rural property owners to purchase native plants for land rehabilitation on their property.

The Shire of Narrogin is proud to announce the development of a custom Narrogin edition of MONOPOLY®, a unique community legacy project that will showcase local businesses, community groups, and iconic places through a fully customised version of the world’s favourite family board game.

The Shire’s biannual Community Chest funding, to a maximum of $2,500 cash or in-kind, for events or projects which benefit the Narrogin community is now open to eligible community-based organisations closing 4:30 pm on Wednesday 28 February 2026.
