Sensory Pack Program
Supporting Inclusion, Wellbeing and Community Participation
The Shire of Narrogin is committed to creating an inclusive, accessible and welcoming community for people of all ages and abilities.
As part of this commitment, the Shire of Narrogin Sensory Pack Program provides a range of sensory support resources designed to help individuals participate more comfortably in community events, recreational activities, public facilities and everyday experiences.
Sensory packs contain carefully selected tools that can assist with sensory regulation, emotional wellbeing, focus, movement, relaxation and engagement. The program aims to reduce barriers to participation and support positive experiences for community members, visitors, families, schools, organisations and event organisers.
Whether attending a community event, visiting a Shire facility, participating in sport and recreation activities or simply seeking additional sensory support, there is a sensory pack available to suit a variety of needs.
Who Can Use the Sensory Packs?
The Sensory Pack Program has been designed to support:

- Teenagers and young people
- Adults

- Individuals with sensory processing differences
- People experiencing anxiety or stress
- Community organisations and schools
- Visitors attending local events and activities
Everyone experiences sensory input differently. The sensory packs offer a range of tools that individuals can choose from according to their own preferences, comfort levels and support needs.

Sensory packs are available for hire through the Shire of Narrogin.
Each pack includes a Safe Use Guide containing information on the intended use of each item and important safety considerations.
When using a sensory pack, please ensure:
- Equipment is used safely and for its intended purpose.
- Appropriate supervision is provided where required.
- All items are returned clean and in good condition.
- Missing or damaged items are reported promptly.
- Pack contents are checked before returning.
