Current Renewable Energy Projects in the Region

The Narrogin Renewable Energy Zone (NREZ) is emerging as an epicentre of Western Australia’s clean energy future. Encompassing a suite of major proposals across wind, solar, battery storage, and renewable fuels, the NREZ represents more than $18.05 billion in potential investment and brings with it significant opportunities for local contractors, jobs, and regional development.

Situated at the heart of the State’s renewable transition, the NREZ places Narrogin as a cornerstone of a transformative shift in how Western Australia generates and stores energy. Within just a 45-minute radius of town, a wave of large-scale renewable projects is reshaping the landscape—technologically, economically, and symbolically.

Yet, the true success of this transformation depends on more than infrastructure alone. It will be defined by people, place, and purpose—by how our community connects to this new energy future and the opportunities it creates for generations to come.
