The Shire of Narrogin will begin its Australia Day celebration on Tuesday 26 January 2021 in true Aussie style - on the lawn under a shady tree, accompanied by the classic barbeque breakfast. Following that, the celebration will continue with a fun packed day of free family activities at the Narrogin Regional Leisure Centre (NRLC).

After the Breakfast event, the day of family fun kicks off at 10am with free entry to the Narrogin Regional Leisure Centre pool where the kids and the kids at heart can test their skills on the brand new giant inflatable ‘Tarzan’ course.

Between 10.30am and 1.30pm, the wonderfully costumed Freedom Fairies will be doing facepainting and interactive art and crafts while the fabulous roving Fairies weave their mischief and merriment around the venue with magic and games, and tricks and fun for all.

The day’s activities will conclude at 7.30pm with a free outdoor family movie on the giant inflatable screen, in the new grassed area at the NRLC. Entry is via the Swimming Club gate on Clayton Road. Bean bags are available or bring your own chair or rug. Snacks and cool drinks will be available to purchase from the kiosk.

The Shire of Narrogin together with hundreds of Australian communities received funding support from the National Australia Day Council to assist with the delivery of a COVID safe event. Leigh Ballard, the Shire President said ‘’The day will be a treat for the whole family, so why not come down in your Aussie swim gear and enjoy the family movie afterwards’’.
