Shire of Narrogin President Re-Elected Unopposed
The Shire of Narrogin is pleased to announce that Shire President Leigh Ballard has been re-elected unopposed as the Shire’s publicly elected President for a further four-year term, following the close of nominations on Thursday, 4 September 2025.
At the close of nominations, the WA Electoral Commission’s Returning Officer, Carly Smith, declared the result.
In addition, the following four nominations were received for three vacant positions of Councillor:
Roxanne McNab, Clive Bartron, Courtney Wright & Murray Fisher.
As a result, a postal election will be conducted by the Western Australian Electoral Commission (WAEC). Postal voting packages will be issued and distributed to all registered electors in the coming weeks, with Election Day to be held on Saturday, 18 October 2025.
Shire CEO Dale Stewart and Shire President Leigh Ballard jointly extended their best wishes to all candidates contesting the upcoming election.
“Local government relies on dedicated community members putting their hands up to serve. We congratulate President Ballard on his re-election and thank all candidates who have nominated to serve as Councillors,” Mr Stewart said.
“We strongly encourage all registered electors to participate in the election process by casting their vote,” President Ballard added.
