Shire of Narrogin Announced Community Chest Grant 2024/25 – Round 2 Recipients
The Shire of Narrogin has announced the successful recipients of Round 2 of the 2024/25 Community Chest Grant Program. This funding initiative provides essential support to local community groups, sporting clubs, and not-for-profit organisations, helping to bring valuable projects and events to life.
Shire President Leigh Ballard congratulated the successful applicants, stating, “We are proud to support these community-driven initiatives that contribute to Narrogin’s vibrancy and social wellbeing. The Community Chest Grant Program continues to empower local organisations to make a meaningful impact.”
The recipients of Round 2 funding were:
- Narrogin Central Bush Fire Brigade Inc – $2,500 towards the installation of two new iPads into their emergency response vehicle with specialist software that will assist in an emergency situation.
- Narrogin Auskick Inc – $850 towards their Mother’s Day Event on 10 May 2025.
- Narrogin Children & Families Inc – $1,897 cash and $603 in-kind towards their Stakeholder Forum on 24 March 2025.
- Narrogin & Districts Netball Association Inc – $2,500 towards their Indigenous Round on 26 July 2025.
- Narrogin Amateur Swimming Club Inc – $880 towards two new Backstroke starting blocks.
- Narrogin Independent Playgroup Inc – $1,012 towards their 2025 Open Day event and a new printer.
- Narrogin Tennis Club Inc – $1,500 towards their Pickleball Project.
Additionally, outside of the Community Chest Grant funding, the Shire has supported Holyoake Australian Institute for Alcohol and Drug Addiction Resolution Inc with a $500 donation towards their Don’t Drink & Drive/Mental Health and Wellbeing Sporting Round.
These projects will enhance community engagement, promote social inclusion, and improve local facilities, benefiting residents of all ages.
The Shire of Narrogin thanked all applicants for their submissions and encourages those who were not successful to apply in future rounds.
