Got a Day to Spare? Drive Someone There – Community Assisted Transport (CATS) service!

Community Assisted Transport Service on Show – Callout for Volunteers!

The Shire of Narrogin is proud to showcase its Community Assisted Transport Service (CATS), a vital initiative that helps local residents attend essential medical and specialist appointments in Perth, Bunbury, and Busselton.

This Friday, 16th May 2025 the CATS vehicle will be on display outside the Dorcas Op Shop from 9.00am to 4.00pm. Community members are warmly invited to stop by, have a look at the vehicle, and learn more about the service — and how they might be able to help.

CATS is proudly supported by dedicated volunteers, the Shire of Narrogin, neighbouring Shires, and generous community partners such as Narrogin Revheads and the Narrogin Lions Club. Together, we’re working to ensure that no one misses out on essential care due to lack of transport.  This year we have already completed over 210 trips.

Volunteer drivers provide door-to-door support for clients, who may also bring along a carer if needed. The service plays a crucial role in supporting residents who face barriers in accessing health care due to distance or mobility.

We need your help. The service is currently seeking more volunteer drivers and carers. If you have a spare day or two each month and would like to give back to your community using your safe and reliable driving skills — we’d love to meet you.

Come along this Friday to find out how you can make a real difference in someone’s life.  Become a Road Hero – Volunteer with CATS.
