After-School Lego Club

Who: Kids and Teens
When: Mondays, 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Participate in fun Lego building challenges or enjoy free-style building with other Lego enthusiasts.


Home Library Service

Who: Patrons of all ages who are permanently or temporarily housebound, and new or expectant mothers.
When: Every second Tuesday

Open to residents in the Narrogin and Cuballing Townsites, a friendly member of the library team will deliver a hand-picked selection of books, audio-books, jigsaws, DVDs and magazines to housebound or in-care patrons, hospital patients and expectant or new mothers with babies up to 3 months. Selections are based on a profile you provide and can include items for every member of the household. 


Storytime

Who: 3-5-year-olds and their guardians
When: Every Wednesday at 10:30 am

Listen to a fun story, enjoy some popular children’s songs and join in fun craft activities.

Baby Rhyme Time

Who: 0-3-year-olds and their guardians
When: Every Thursday at 10:30 am

Sing along to your favourite nursery rhymes and children’s songs, and maybe learn some new ones.

High-Tea Rhyme Time

Who: Families with children 0-5 years old
When: Second Thursday of the month at 10:30 am

Dress-up and enjoy good food, music and rhymes while promoting early literacy skills in young children.

Home Education Group

Who: School-aged children not currently in or transitioning into mainstream schooling.
When: Thursday afternoons during the school term, at 1:30 pm.

Educational activities and play-based learning that offers students not currently enrolled, only attending part-time or transitioning into, the mainstream schooling system, with opportunities for socialisation and social skill building. These sessions also provide parents/ guardians providing at-home or distance education to their children the chance to network and share experiences.

School Holiday Activities

Who: School-aged children and teens
When: Every school holiday

During school holidays we organise special events for children facilitated by Library Team members and through partnerships with community groups. 

Community Chess and Games Afternoons

Who: All ages
When: Wednesday afternoons 2.30-4.30pm

Enjoy a warm cuppa and settle in to watch or verse other community members at chess, backgammon, checkers, card games or scrabble. 

Creative Bytes Coding Club

Who: School-aged kids and teens
When: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons, 3.30-4.30pm during school term.

Sponsored by Creative Bytes, trained coding instructors will teach you to create your own games using scratch.

Digital Literacy Lessons

Who: All ages
When: Saturday mornings

A friendly library team member will help you learn more about your devices, exploring topics that interest you. Learn to make the most of your electronic device and stay safe in the digital world.

Special Events

Every year the library hosts a range of special events to celebrate National Simultaneous Storytime, Naidoc Week, Adult Learner’s Week, R U Ok Day, Seniors Week, Science Week and Book Week.  We also conduct special Key Word Sign Storytime Sessions and regular visits from our popular mascot Nelly Numbat.  If you would like to know about upcoming library events please sign up for our library e-newsletter by contacting us at lso1@narrogin.wa.gov.au
