Narrogin's newest residents.

New residents in Narrogin were invited to a ‘Welcome to Narrogin’ Sundowner at the John Higgins Community Centre hosted by the Narrogin Rotary Club in partnership with the Shire of Narrogin.

Shire of Narrogin Deputy President Tim Wiese officially welcomed the new residents to Narrogin and encouraged them to get involved in clubs and groups that interest them.

Noongar Elder Basil Kickett opened with a Welcome to Country and guests were introduced to representatives of various sporting and community groups in town.

A highlight of the evening was a song performed by some of Narrogin’s newest residents all the way from Vanuatu. The group of men have been employed by Hillside Meat Processors and will be living in town for the next three years.

New residents got the opportunity to network with representatives from local sporting and community groups over a drink and bite to eat and received a welcome pack with more information about life in Narrogin.
