Narrogin Agricultural Society in partnership with the Shire of Narrogin is immensely proud to present the official opening and naming of the fabulous outdoor community space situated at the site of the former outdoor swimming pool at the Narrogin Regional Leisure Centre, 50 Clayton Road Narrogin. The event begins at 2 pm on Saturday 20 February 2021, the official opening and naming will commence at 2.30 pm and includes invited special guest Alby Timleris and his family.
The official opening will be followed by free kids activities and entertainment with the Freedom Fairies, wet and dry obstacle course and food vans. Then from 7pm, the Disney family movie Aladdin will screen in the outdoor cinema. President of Narrogin Agricultural Society Vicki Chadwick said ‘’The members of the Narrogin Agricultural Society were excited for the opportunity to coordinate such a meaningful community event, particularly after the 2020 Agricultural Show was cancelled’’.
In recent months the Shire of Narrogin has undertaken extensive landscaping at the site of the former outdoor pool and the result is an expansive grassed area suited to a range of community events and fundraising activities such as outdoor movie nights, sausage sizzles and so much more. Shire President Leigh Ballard said ‘’The development of this community space is a truly exciting project for Narrogin, the opportunities for its use as a community events space are endless’’.
