New Self Contained Holiday Units at the Narrogin Caravan Park

Visitors who come to the beautiful farming and woodlands region of Narrogin and Districts now have
another alternative accommodation option. Three recently-constructed self-contained holiday units at the
Narrogin Caravan Park, owned and managed by the Shire of Narrogin, are now open and taking
bookings.

Shire of Narrogin President Leigh Ballard said “We have been planning this project for a while now and
it’s great to see the idea come into fruition. Council has wanted to provide for additional accommodation
options in Narrogin to attract a greater range of visitors. We have been receiving considerable demand
from travellers seeking self-contained style accommodation for some time, particularly from contractors
servicing the local business community.”

The three new holiday units have been aptly named after popular scenic areas surrounding Narrogin,
namely ‘Foxes Lair’, ‘Yilliminning’ and ‘Dryandra’.

“At a time when Western Australians are being asked to holiday at home, then why would visitors from
the city not consider Narrogin for a couple of nights” said Mr Ballard. “Narrogin is ideally situated so close
to Perth that visitors can easily take in the beautiful surrounding farmlands and enjoy the fresh outdoors
with the hiking and bike trails offered in close-by Foxes Lair, Yilliminning Rock and the soon-to-bedeclared
national park at the Dryandra Woodlands.”

The project has been managed by Executive Manager Frank Ludovico who has worked with the Caravan
Park Managers and local businesses in putting the finishing touches to the constructions. All the units
are access and mobility compliant and offer a fully furnished lounge, kitchen, dining, a large bedroom
and bathroom and can easily accommodate up to 4 people for short or long stays.

Mr Ludovico says “This project is a continuation of the upgrade work at the Narrogin Caravan Park,
carried out in recent times, which includes improved camp kitchen, laundry and toilet facilities with an
independent universal access toilet facility.”
