In This Together - Reconciliation Week 2020
In This Together is the theme for Reconciliation Week 2020 (27 May - 3 June) and although there are no community events taking place due to the ongoing social distancing restrictions, the Shire of Narrogin encourages people to take part in virtual events being delivered online and through social media, so we can still be, #InThisTogether2020!
Reconciliation Week will be launched on 27 May with a national online event of Acknowledgement of Country, and thanks to local Elder Basil Kickett, this will appear on the Shire of Narrogin Facebook page in Noongar as well as English.
Social media users are invited to record and upload their own Acknowledgement as part of the national online event coordinated by Reconciliation Australia at 12pm AEST (10am local time).
Each weekday during Reconciliation Week, the Shire of Narrogin will share a post to its Facebook page with links to websites, movies, stories and more, that can be streamed or downloaded.
