Clear Cut Decision for Narrogin's New Barber

Published on Thursday, 26 November 2020 at 9:47:33 AM

The gentlemen folk of Narrogin are lining up for a new look, clean necks and styled beards with one of Narrogin’s newest businesses, Dawoods Barber Shop. That good old traditional blade shave followed by a splashing of lotion are all a part of the treat.

Al Dawood Saa’d moved from Perth when he heard that all the men had to go to the hair salons in Narrogin, and sometimes, it was difficult for them to get in, or not be able to get a walk-in like they can at a barber shop.  Dawood’s shop has a line of chairs for the fellas not minding the wait, where they can read the paper or have a chat.

The Shire President, Leigh Ballard, and the Narrogin Chamber of Commerce Chairperson, Bill O’Neill, visited the new Barber Shop on Egerton Street to wish Dawood every success in his new and business and thanked him for his confidence in Narrogin’s and wider district’s community. Dawood was presented with a Chamber welcome pack and the Shire presented local produce, all wrapped up in the Shire of Narrogin ‘Love the Life’ calico shopping bag.

Shire President Leigh Ballard said “Narrogin is certainly growing in the business sector offering new services to Narrogin and the greater district who are enthusiastically getting behind the new businesses in town. It’s really important to continue to look local and buy local first to continue to attract new and expand existing businesses and to make our CBD vibrant, interesting and welcoming”.
