Welcome to Narrogin @ Gnarojin Park - Introductory Orienteering Course

Past Event

Orienteering is a fast-growing sport that involves running with a highly specialised and detailed map around a set course, either forested or urban terrain. It can also be an active recreational activity walking through the forest or parkland while using a map to navigate. Both sport and recreation are suitable for all ages and levels of fitness, and all events offer a range of courses from very easy to very challenging.

In conjunction with Australian Championships, Orienteering WA is offering a series of events open to whole community, beginning with a talk demonstration/introductory recreational course. While the Championship events will attract the experts from all over Australia and around the world, they also have easy, recreational courses available.

Visit the website for more information. To participate, just turn up to the events and enter on the day. Individuals or groups (family or friends) of up to 5 may participate. The Gnarojin Park events are free. If you like a sporting challenge, then pre-enter either of the Championship events via the website. The Open B courses are the most suitable options for the less experienced, and the Sprint event will be easier navigation than the Middle Distance.
