COUNCIL DECISIONS – AUGUST/SEPTEMBER 2017

 

CONSULTANCY ROOMS – Council approved an application for planning consent for the use of Consultancy Rooms at 66 Federal Street, Narrogin.

ROAD SEAL TENDER Council awarded the Road Seal Tender to Fulton Hogan for all budgeted road seal projects within the 2017/18 adopted budget.

CHRISTMAS TRADING HOURSCouncil endorsed the proposed extended business trading hours for the month of December 2017 as presented by the Narrogin Chamber of Commerce.

EXTENSIONS ALBERT FACEY HOTEL – Application for planning consent was supported subject to conditions.

SECOND DWELLING 3383 WANDERING ROAD – An application for planning consent for the development of an additional dwelling was supported subject to conditions.

PARKING OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLES 1 GORDON STREET – Planning consent was supported for the parking of commercial vehicles subject to conditions.

AGED CARE PACKAGES – Council authorised the Shire/Narrogin Regional Homecare to provide Level 3 and 4 Home Care Packages and Commonwealth Home Support Program.

PAVEMENT STABILISING TENDERCouncil awarded the Pavement Stabilising Tender for stabilising works on the Narrogin Harrismith Road, and Whinbin Rock Road, to Stabilised Pavements of Australia.

COMMUNITY CHEST – Council endorsed the Community Chest Reference Group's recommendation to pay a total of $9,100 between the following Groups, Narrogin Musicians Association Inc; Narrogin Gymnastics club Inc; Silverbacks Boxing Inc; and quarter Midget Youth Speedway Project Inc.

NEW EXCAVATOR TENDER – Council awarded the tender for the purchase of a Volvo EC220DL excavator with tree sheers to CJD Equipment.

VARIATION TO BURNING PERIOD – Council extended the burning period to 15 October for 2017 because of recent rains.

Council’s total spend on local creditors and wages for the month of July was 54% and August 65%.
