Introduction

The Town of Narrogin’s Regulatory Services Officer’s role is to be the Councils Authorised Officer that implements the community environment objectives of the Council, namely law and order, public education and safety.

This consists of providing an effective service to the residents of Narrogin in respect to matters relating to the Council’s local laws.

Rangers work hard to protect the environment by enforcing laws and conducting education programmes.  General littering, illegal rubbish dumping, graffiti and other anti social issues are a daily part of their general enforcement management.

Control and rescue of animals is a major part of a Ranger's work.  In rural areas they rely heavily on their training when dealing with dangerous dogs, cattle, horses, sheep, cats, birds and reptiles.
