The Rates Calculation
The simple way to check your total rates bill is by multiplying the Gross Rental Value of your property (as determined by the Valuer General and shown on your rate notice) by the rate in the dollar determined by the Council.
If a property has a Gross Rental Value of $10,000 (or $192 per week), to calculate your rate bill, multiply this value by the rate in the dollar of 14.17 cents. The rate bill, based on rental values, would therefore be $1,417.00.
The minimum rate or the least amount a Town of Narrogin ratepayer will pay in 2009/2010 is $715.00.
