MEMBERSHIP - Membership is free to all residents of the Town of Narrogin and Shires of Narrogin and Cuballing. 

 

 

To join the Library, you need:

 

 

ITEMS AVAILABLE - We have a wide range of fiction, non-fiction and junior books, large print, spoken word cassettes and CDs, music scores, videos, magazines, jigsaws, CD-Roms, and books in languages other than English. 

ORDERING ITEMS IN - If the Library does not hold the item you require, it can be obtained via interlibrary loan.  Items held in the State Library of Western Australia public library system can be viewed at www.liswa.wa.gov.au.

INTERNET - Three public access computers provide free access to the Internet for up to one hour per day. Word processing and photocopying facilities are also available. 

 

SERVICES FOR CHILDREN

 

TERM TIME ACTIVITIES

 

Baby Rhymetime sessions for babies up to 2 years old on Fridays at 10.30am

Storytime sessions for children aged 2-5 years old on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10.30am

Bookstars sessions for primary school aged children on Mondays at 4pm.

 

SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES

During school holidays we organise special events for children. Check the noticeboard in the Library for details, or contact us.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

We have a dress up box, a train to ride and there are always activity and colouring sheets to enjoy. A comfortable couch and the offer of free tea or coffee means parents can relax while kids enjoy themselves.

 

SERVICES FOR ADULTS

Members of our '2nd Friday Book Club'

Ask one of our staff at the Library for further information about joining our book club.

Young Adults - a separate young adult section is comfortably furnished with beanbags and plenty of great reads, including graphic novels and magazines.

Events - we hold regular events for adults, including a book club on the second Friday of every month.

Seniors - we hold regular events for seniors and provide a 'housebound' service, delivering books fortnightly to customers requesting this service.

Computing Lessons - computing lessons are available on consultation with staff.

Meeting space - this area can be booked free of charge by local community groups, businesses and organisations.

 

Newsletter - The Library issues a monthly email newsletter to members - if you would like to be placed on our mailing list, please email the Library at libngn@treko.net.au.Click here for a print version of the latest Library Newsletter.

Local History Collection - The Library manages Narrogin’s local history collection.  Searches for information are undertaken upon request. A $5.00 fee applies to requests and fees may also apply for copies of information.  For more information or to make an appointment, please contact us.
