Statement of Beliefs

In achieving the Vision and Mission, the Town Council will set achievable goals and work with the staff and community to establish a reputation of openness, honesty and accountability. We will:

• respect the points of view of individuals and groups;

• build on existing community involvement;

• promote self-reliance and initiative;

• recognise and celebrate achievement;

• encourage community leadership;

• support the principles of social justice;

• provide appropriate training and development for Councillors and staff; and

• acknowledge the value of the contribution of staff.
